Hello, finally! Well after a good.. month or so, it's time to share with you our wonderful holiday in the Orient. Edmond, the 5th year, is really busy with med at the moment, particularly paeds, with all those babies and children, bringing out the oestrogen in him, so I'll be the host of the beginnings of our holiday adventure story. And I'll correct anything that lisawee says wrong :p

Packing with Ed is the crappiest part of the holiday, he's so mean! He got agro at everyone when packing for our holiday and in HK when we were packing for home, he got agro at me! I think we shall pack alone. Ed is such a packing nazi. I'm sorry :( I didn't mean to be a meanie beanie . . . I just like to get everything right

The midnight flight was crappening. So damn tired! We stayed at YMCA. And other than having beds to sleep on, YMCA is crap. From bathroom to service. Exactly! I was soo expecting all the staff to break out into their theme song the moment i walked through the door. . . Come and stay at the Y ... M ... C ... A !!! lalalala BUT NO . .

Ed found this sign much amusing, as all tourists that haven't been to Singapore. Banning durians is just racist!

But Ed likes durians, surprisingly. I thought it was just a Malaysia/Singaporean thing. In HK, he took me to this dessert place with this durian dessert that was OMGmouthwateringgoodness. In small doses.

We went straight to the hawker centre that day I think, meeting up with Tiff and Joe. Ed had (among many things) Nasi Lemak, although this one looks kinda ugly. And don't ever start Ed with a conversation about Chicken Rice. He'll argue you to the depths of the ocean that HK CHicken Rice is better. But we all know that Hainanese Chicken Rice... is PWNAGE. No way! Hainanese chicken is just chicken with oily rice. Add the side of sweet chilli sauce and you expect it to be awesome?! NO WAY! HK Chicken rice totally kicks Ass. HK chicken actually tastes like chicken! The stuff yous eat in Australia and singapore is just chicken that's been bleached flavourless. Hk adds that side of ginger and chalot sauce that excels it beyond AWESOMNAGE!

And Bugis! I love Bugis Junction. It's my comfortable spot in Singapore, it's memories :) The fountain in the floor at Bugis that Ed wanted to run through, the adult that he is. So did lisa :p

And then, as if we weren't full enough, we stopped by Toast Box. In the afternoon. For brekky. Kaya Toast and Peanut butter toast and soft boiled eggs! Look at that tub of peanut butter in all its buttery goodness... I heart peanut butter... on toast. Sigh.

Ed got to taste kaya. Kaya is cool. Later that night, even though we were quite tired, we went out with my cousin's to dinner. Ed was soo tired, but I dragged him to dinner anyway, sorry poopie!

There was rojak - and - and - Frog legs in soy sauce with porridge! Frogs ain't my kind of thing. But Ed liked it. 'Field Chicken' as they say in Cantonese.

My cousins were mean; they tried to make Ed eat the spicy frog. But Ed, he took it like a man! He survived the chillied frog. For now...

And what would Singapore be without it's infamous Christmas lights? Mind you, they were more stingy because of GEC - global economic crisis. There were more street decorations, made it hard to manouvre around busy Orchard Road. Edmond was more impressed with the food than anything. There will be more Singapore to come, stay in tune!
